Two options

I heard a well known quote today from Patrick Henry but I heard it in an entirely new light. The quote is "I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"
It hit me a little more meaningfully today. He truly would have rather died than to lose his liberty, lose his autonomy or to give away his freedom. I admire this passion and dedication to principle. In these 19 words he described the very essence of the heart of a patriot, a citizen and a people. We should all long to have this passion regarding our freedom. We should protect it with our lives and defend it with the same valiant effort that the founders did.
I hope that in this new year, we realize the generous bounty that we have been given in this country and we re-ignite the passion of our founders. Let us dedicate ourselves to the cause of liberty and encourage all people to take part in this glorious cause regardless of political persuasion. We should truly believe what the Pledge of Allegiance states: "with liberty and justice for all."

  1. I was meaning thumbs down on Shambo's mullet. Its so Jerry Springer from the '80s. I still have a couple of friends who graduated from Liberty H. S. who don't have mullets but their hairstyles are very dated. Must be a Renton thing.

  2. I am doing an internship at McKnight M.S. in Renton- did Shambo go there? We seem a little ADHD with our postings. Whats up? I don't ever post but I sure do miss the arguing- uh- discussions.

  3. I have no idea where Shambo went to middle school, but I think George Clooney's former girlfriend was actually from Kent. The tabloid media fawned over her for a few months then he moved on. Pinklady
