I attended a Christmas party on Saturday where a bunch of us got together to remember what the whole season is really about. There were children singing carols, food, family, friends and good cheer. It put me in a really good mood and I had a great day.
Today was a little different. I was running some numbers from the city council meeting and I realized that the city is, once again, raising fees on the citizens. The Waste Management contract is up for renewal and it was raised 12% this year and 12% next year. Then just for good measure the city raised the administration fee on Waste Management from $84,000 to $103,500 per year. Anyone want to guess who really pays for it? You guessed it, The citizens. Susan Robinson from Waste Management said it made no difference what the fee is because they would simply add it to the rate that the citizens pay to recover the cost. This seems to be a new trend in the city doesn't it? This is one trend I am not excited to be a part of. How about you?
absolutely obnoxious. When are they going to realize that we are not their personal bank account?
