I was given a challenge to shop locally for Christmas. My first thought was where am I going to get the cool new toys or the hot of the shelf items that seem to be so popular? I was mistaken.
There are several great stores in town that offer so much in the way of gifts for Christmas. I was surprised by the variety and the quality that I found in the shops and my outlook has changed. I went into a few new stores that I hadn't been to yet and I found some wonderful little treasures.
So when you get the last minute phone call that great aunt Mabel is coming for Christmas dinner or if you are like the rest of the men in the world and you have not started shopping yet, try downtown. The shops are full of great items, the clerks are wonderful and the feel of Duvall shines through. Lets all enjoy a Merry Christmas and a local one too.

ReplyDeleteI really like the toy store. I am also a big fan of the bookstore. I love the old books and I love seeing parents reconnect with a book from their childhood while they read it to their children. It really is so much more than just a store full of books.
