Principles principles.

I got into a discussion recently about the principles of supply and demand and I was told that my principles do not reflect the interests of the taxpayers. So here are a few of the principles I hold dear.
The Constitution is an inspired and inspiring document. It is the basis of our laws and the framework it sets up for our government is far and away the best in the world.
The Constitution is designed to limit government’s power and influence in our life.
The Bill of Rights specifically outlines some of the rights that we have to enable us to keep the government in check and to allow us the opportunity to question our leaders without retribution.
The founders expected and encouraged us to question our government.
We have the responsibility to ourselves and our children to maintain the form of government that we have been blessed to have.
We have a responsibility to be a beacon to other nations by defending and honoring our Constitution.
We have the responsibility to be good stewards of all that we have.
We have the responsibility to protect our rights by protecting the rights of others, specifically those who are unable to protect their own.
So the question for the day is this: Are these principles that the country was founded on no longer relevant? Do they no longer reflect the interest of the people?

  1. It has been a long time since I heard someone talk like this. We really should be reminded more about things like this. Keep up the good work.

  2. I feel that it is vital for us to maintian our principles. Isn't this what we spend our lives teaching our kids? Stand by your principles. Why should that change when we get older. it makes perfect sense.
