Well I am coming off a suprising election season when it appears that everything has changed. I am unsettled by these changes and I am looking for ways to make sense of all the perceived chaos.
I have launched this site to bring transparency and information to my fellow citizens. I am seeking for open dialogue and an opportunity for people of all political persuasions to come and present their points of view and to come up with reasonable answers and appropriate solutions.
I should start off by stating that the title of this blog should not be construed to infer that Gone Right is in reference to the political right. It really is the hope that the effect of this blog will get us going in the right direction so we can one day look back and see that we have gone the right way or followed the correct path.
I plan on having guest editorials from our local officials and from my fellow citizens. It is vital for us to listen to our elected officials and for them to listen to us. Communication is truly the key. An informed citizen is an involved citizen and involved citizens help the government act appropriately.
I look forward to hearing all sides and doing all we can to make our town better by working together.
We need an informed electorate, a responsible city council, and a healthy dose of common sense.
