So I have discovered that there are many who are outraged by the violent rhetoric in the political realm. So I thought I should let you see some of it. This clip is from a Code Pink rally in Palm Springs. Watch the video and then tell me where the outrage is from the media and the left.
I wonder why all my progressive friends are not commenting and condemning this violent rhetoric.
ReplyDeleteIs it ok? Or do they not want to accept the fact that the left is responsible for more of this than the right?
I've seen and heard similar on both sides. There are so many irrational people on both sides who react rather than think that there is ample ammunition to go around.
ReplyDeleteReally? I dont recall anyone at a right wing event asking to impeach a supreme court justice and return him to slavery. Or even calling for for him and his wife to be strung up.
ReplyDeleteFor all the fuss the left made about the tea party and their supporters, it is complete hypocrisy for them to ignore this and not call it out as unacceptable.
The difference in the 2 is that the right rejects this type of rhetoric and the left just ignores it, unless they can blame it on the right.
Last year Breitbart offered $100,000 for anyone who could produce a video of a tea partyer saying somthing hateful. He never had to pay out. The hateful rhetoric isn't on both sides, it's just easier for us to say that so it makes it sound like we're not blaming anyone. Wake up people
ReplyDeleteBro
Bro,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. You were MIA for a while. There are a few unanswered questions for you under the Who will join the Council" posting. As a reasonable responsible person I know you will take the time to address them.
Granted I haven't seen it on the news - but I have heard it personally from a few people I discuss politics with...
ReplyDeleteThe scope of the implied threat is also usually less severe...
Perhaps that is the point. If were any comments like this from the right and the media jumps all over it then where are they now? When there is video proof of people calling for the execution of a Supreme Court Justice and that he be returned to slavery, why are they not all over this? Where is their outrage? Where is the indignation they profess to possess? Why is this ignored?
ReplyDeleteThe simple answer must be that they lack the intellectual honesty and credibility to actually report this behavior when it comes from their side of the political spectrum.
