New Mayor Pro-Tem
To start the new year the City Council has elected Gary Gill as the new Mayor Pro-Tem. This will be a change over last year as he takes over from Elizabeth Walker, who was unable to attend as she was in Canada. Congratulations to Gary Gill.
The Mayor Pro-Tem is chosen each January from the members of the City Council. It is a rotating position. The duties of the Mayor Pro-Tem include taking the place of the Mayor when he is unavailable and running the city workshops. It should be made perfectly clear that this is not a popularly elected position.
Wonder if he will strart showing up to his meetings now.
