Today is the 90th anniversary of the 19th amendment.
For those of you who do not have an encyclopedic knowledge of the amendments, the 19th amendment is the amendment that forbids the government from saying women can not vote. It says:
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."
So I join in celebration of the recognition of the right of women to vote and I say welcome.
